The KPL story

Four decades of pioneering hospitality on Khao San Road.

The Chairatn family opened its first hotel in 1985, just as Khao San Road was beginning its journey toward becoming a global destination. The group grew with the community, creating distinctive hotels for every kind of traveller.

Today, KPL Group remains privately owned and family led, with hotels, resorts, restaurants, lifestyle businesses and real-estate investments across Thailand, Singapore and Australia.

1985

The first address

Khaosan Palace opened on Khao San Road in the heart of Bangkok Old Town.

2004

A new chapter

The Chairatn brothers accelerated the group's growth, elevating design and service standards.

2015–17

Global recognition

Chillax Resort was honoured by the World Luxury Hotel Awards in 2015 and 2016, followed by a World Travel Award in 2017.
